Today I went to visit my sister Kathy in Cuyahoga Falls, and drove through the Sand Run Parkway on the way. The weather was gorgeous, wonderfully colored leaves, so I stopped for a little walk down the trail. The chickadees were very friendly, letting me take some pictures. The Sand Run crosses the road in a ford, which we always thought was the greatest thing, especially after we started to drive our own cars! So here's the approach, and a view showing the Run going over the road.
And a couple of views of cars going through - some folks slow all the way down, but others like to make a big splash! Here's a link to a video showing the ford at high water.
Then I went by the old Cathedral of Tomorrow. This was a church built by Rex Humbard, who was the first tele-vangelist to have a weekly show on TV. He built the Cathedral of Tomorrow specifically for broadcasting. He also started construction on a revolving restaurant, which was never finished, and is now used as a cell tower. We referred to it at "Rex's Erection", and it is visible from all over Cuyahoga Falls. The other view shows a round building with huge concrete relief sculptures, used for a business.
