Look what I found out in the middle of the lawn! Wonder how this sweet grape hyacinth got there - I don't even have any in my flower garden. Well, it is time to begin mowing, so I'm glad it managed to bloom!
 The flowering cherry tree on our driveway was lovely, as usual. The pale pink blossoms are just now beginning to falter and brown. Soon the grass below will be white with fallen petals.

The bark is gnarly and covered with lichen, presenting a contrast to the soft pinkness of the petals.
