I started this journey on January 1, 2007 after seeing articles about taking a Photo-A-Day. The idea intrigued me - it could be part journal, part photo album. I always wanted to keep a daily journal, but never found the right format to keep me interested.
Well, this seems to have done the trick! I absolutely love taking photos every day and having an excuse to do so. I use a nice point-n-shoot, and am continually amazed at its capabilities. A lot of my photos record the natural world around me, but close in, and far-off vistas.
The journaling part is sometimes sparse, but that's OK, too. I can say what I feel, if I want, or merely record the moment.
It works for me!
