Far, far to the north, in a land far, far away, the sun is shining.... This is the view I see every day when I drive home. Looking north up Holmes Harbor, at the far end is Goose Rock, at Deception Pass State Park, where, it appears, the sun is shining. Due to the vagarities of two mountain ranges, straits, sounds and passages, the weather is different every few miles. Many are the times I've looked at this same scene with the rain pouring on me.... Of course, there are times when the big black cloud is up there, to the north, while I sit in sunshine....
