 I inadvertantly took a week off my photos - nothing serious, just busy with work, getting holiday gifts going, sick for a couple of days, rain, rain, rain, and the short daylight hours. I finally found a brief break in the rain just before sunset, and hurried out to dry off the vegetation. While I had been housebound, the mushrooms arrived on the scene!

 The red huckleberry leaves are turning pale and falling onto the carpet of soggy dead alder leaves in the woods.

 A wide variety of fungi, from large to small.
