The ferry line was long, so I didn't get off island until 5:00. I took the route on the backside of Mt. Rainier, avoiding the I-5, and was rewarded with this view of the mountain in between thunder storms. A lenticular cloud is forming at the peak.
Later on, my first view of Mt Adams, after dark along Forest Service Road #23, a 56-mile shortcut between Randle and Trout Lake where I saw exactly one car the whole time.
