Ohio
Went to Peninsula for lunch at Fisher's, then a short walk over the bridge on the Tow Path trail. Above is an opportunistic fern growing out of the side of one of the locks, constructed of large sandstone blocks.
The canal actually crossed the Cuyahoga River here - they built a water-filled bridge for the canal, the remains of which you can see to the left of the tow-path bridge. On the far side was the lock to lower the water level.
Mom standing on the bridge looking at the remains of the mill.
Kittens, later in their first day, all in a jumble but happy.
