Up before sunrise - not hard to do this time of year! But at least I looked outside and saw the dawn light. I got some photos of the clouds lit from below by the sun rising behind the mist-veiled ridge.
The clouds seemed to glow - I thought the sun was behind them . . .
. . . until I noticed a bright light through the trees . . .
. . . where there is a house, up on that ridge. But something wasn't quite right . . .
. . . and I finally realized it was the sun herself glowing behind the trees on the ridgetop.
Good morning, sun!
When the sun was higher, it shined through the mist around the trees.
