Another birthday gift is this shadow box, created by my sister Cris. It is a little view of the forest floor in the woods where our parents live, and where we grew up. She dried the moss, then added beech leaves, blossom stalks and nut shells, acorns and other twigs. It's a wonderful keepsake, and yes, it really does look like that!
