Our town of Freeland has it's celebration on the 3rd of July, and this year, instead of going to the event and braving the crowds, we received an invitation to view the fireworks from a waterfront property. It was a beautiful evening, nice and quiet, and close to home, so no problems with traffic.
While we waited for dark, we watched the barge wander up and down the harbor, looking for just the right spot to shoot off the fireworks.
We brought chairs to sit on the lawn among the tall fir trees.
The calm water reflected the bright lights and colors!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AMERICA!
