Whidbey Weaver's Guild meeting today. One of the best parts is the Show and Tell! Above is a scarf woven on a computerized loom - the pattern colors show differently on the front and back. The weaver finished the ends by hand, adding beads. Awesome!
There is usually a pretty good turn-out!
Another artist shows the shawl she knitted with her handspun wool. Another amazing item!
Across the field is a new housing development - wonderful colors!
Awe enables us to perceive in the world intimations of the divine, to sense in small things the beginning of infinite significance, to sense the ultimate in the common and simple, to feel in the rush of the passing the stillness of the eternal.
