And the sun came out briefly today, too, after a late season storm of high winds and rain, rain, rain! At high tide, the water of Holmes Harbor seemed so clear, but it is closed to swimming and clamming because of polution. Sigh.
This photo is actually misleading, because it was cloudy all around, but a small portion of sky showed for a while.
Within a half hour after these photos, we had a complete cloud cover again. At least the wind has died down!
Awe enables us to perceive in the world intimations of the divine, to sense in small things the beginning of infinite significance, to sense the ultimate in the common and simple, to feel in the rush of the passing the stillness of the eternal.
