We stayed in Cottonwood for the night, south of Sedona. The clouds were lit by the sunset, viewed from the hill above our motel.
In the morning, we were at the Grand Canyon, and went to view the IMAX movie. There was a little display area, where this twig "fetish" was in a cabinet. My feeling is that this was made as a toy for a child.
After the movie, which was wonderful, we drove to Flagstaff, over the San Franciso Peaks, and dropped off the U-Haul trailer. Oh, what joy to finally be rid of it! Then we headed south to Sedona, along Oak Creek.
Since it was the Holiday, Sedona was packed, and it was hot, and we had missed lunch, so we only stayed long enough to eat at the Cowboy Grill. Boy, was it good!! We toured around in the afternoon, then went to Cottonwood for the night.
