I met with some contractors to look at a house that needs another bathroom. It is totally cute - the upper floor is all sloped ceilings and dormers, complete with nooks and crannies.
The house is one of the first in this area, and had many old, old photos of events and people dating from the 1920's, maybe older. Mick and Don are on the stairs looking at some of them. The floors still have the original linoleum - upstairs it is a beautiful floral pattern.
It's a small home, but well-built. Surrounded by fields and a stream, and accross the road from the beach - it has an almost fairytale feeling. We'll be adding another dormer to the back of the house for the new bathroom upstairs.
And while I was in the neighborhood, I spotted this new home with the cool tower.
Coincidentally, I had a meeting today with new clients, who want a home with a tower! This could be a great inspiration for that home.
