Today started out hazy and misty, with, as the TV weather guy said, low-fat drizzle. But it got better, and we had clear sunny skies by afternoon. The late afternoon sun slanted into this clearing next to the pond, highlighting a giant cedar tree. Barb and Marjorie have cleaned out the forest floor detritus, leaving the sword ferns and salal.
