Things are finally starting to thaw out! The threatened snow this morning didn't materialize, and it has been warming up (slowly!) and the ice in the swamp is receding, although there is still a little bit of snow in the shady places. The willows reflect in the clear water. And yes, that strange shape on the water is ice - it's soft and slushy.

Things are finally starting to thaw out! The threatened snow this morning didn't materialize, and it has been warming up (slowly!) and the ice in the swamp is receding, although there is still a little bit of snow in the shady places. The willows reflect in the clear water. And yes, that strange shape on the water is ice - it's soft and slushy.
