I have revamped this blog for the New Year. I want to publish my photos-a-day here, and do some journaling.

So here's my first photo - sunrise, from my deck, on New Year's Day. It's very windy - I tried to show that with the windmeter. Obviously I need to learn what settings to use on the camera for this kind of shot, but overall I'm pleased with the effect.

David & I both are a little worn out with all the activity of the past two months: holidays, birthdays, extreme weather - wind, snow and rain, power outages! So today is a good time to kick back and try to organize ourselves for all the new ventures this year will bring!
