The beautiful weather continues, and the Japanese maple has leafed out. Tookers helped me photograph it, providing a willing model.

Another amazing day - I noticed the mountains out and glowing, so had to stop down at the boat ramp to see them. Talked to the fellow with the boat - he had caught a nice halibut out there. Yum!

 The rhodies and forget-me-nots are blooming nicely, and attracting a pretty little moth.

 Basket Guild meeting tonight - Danielle Bodine is giving a talk about finding inspiration - she had a lot of interesting baskets from her collection, and a great slide show. Above is an interesting art piece made of layers and layers of some kind of tape. No one could quite figure out how it is done!

 One of our new members joined to learn how to make a cover for his motorcycle seat. Some of our members helped him with materials and instructions, and he made a beautiful cover. He was so thrilled to have accomplished this, and he is now interested in making actual baskets, especially after seeing Danielle's presentation. We suggested saddlebags for his bike!

 The honeysuckle privet is blooming it's tiny, odd flowers, located underneath the branches. The bush is crawling with bees - busy, busy, busy! In the fall, there will be bright purple fruits lining the underside of the branches.

Let the lawn mowing begin! We finally have had enough dry days to get the mower out there without getting bogged down - you can tell the grass is getting high! And the robins are happy, too!

 Skunk cabbages leaves echo the shape of the willow trees beyond them.
