More rain again today - in the garden, the wisteria is dripping, and the last of the rhododendrons captures it's share.

 Back to Holmes Harbor - not raining today, and an even lower tide! Actually, yesterday's tide was the lower: -3.54, and today's was -3.13. I just happened to be here at the right time today! The birds love it, too!

 This father and son had to drag their dory from the end of the boat ramp - that little black thing on the far right.

 Here is the view toward their sailboat as I am standing on the edge of the ramp.

 Further down the beach, the native wild roses were blooming on the edge of the beach where the bluff had slipped, sending chunks of land and plants down to the beach.

They are all along the roads, too - so sweet!

 Fun with focus - above, focusing on the raindrops running down the car window throws the background out of focus.

Here, the background is clear as I focused through the raindrops. It pretty much rained solidly all day long. And, with the full moon, it's a very low tide!

 I stopped at the Rhododendron State Park near Coupeville today - I adore seeing the native rhodies when they're in bloom.

 The bushes are lanky and scraggly, often covered in moss or lichens.

The park woods are fairly open, with the straight tall fir tree trunks, and mostly only rhodies on the ground. You can see through the trees pretty far, and the rhodies are everywhere in this area.

The full moon is tomorrow, but this looked so interesting with the moon behind the light cloud cover.

Cara at her birthday party, CaraCon 2012! The weather cooperated - it was damp enough for a fire, but it didn't rain, and there was even some sun!

 Not too many dressed up, but a few did.

George brought a dog, Lucy.

After the sun went down, the fire was nice and warm.
