The little Douglas squirrels are busy, busy, busy gathering fir cones for the winter. They do this by breaking off the cone and dropping it on the ground below. Rapidly! The trees are loaded with the cones - hopefully this doesn't mean it will be a long winter!
The cones are piling up under the tree!
