Pile-o-snakes. We seem to have more and more Garter snakes - they love this chunk of black carpet, and I can always find some underneath. Today there was a large one on top, and when he left, I slowly pulled up the flap to reveal this writhing mass, squirming futher back looking for more cover. I'll keep trying to get that close-up of one's head with the forked tongue flicking out.
