I attended the Whidbey Weaver's Guild meeting today, where the guest speaker was Barb Zander, talking about achieving iridescence with weaving. She had a nice slide show of different kinds of iridescence, and described why it occurs. And she had lots of wonderful samples, a couple of which you can see below, clearly showing how it looks blue or red, changing as it moves.

The Guild is a fun and energetic group, with lots of events going on. It's hard not to get inspired!
