Still playing with water - I decided to try drops again in the pond in the middle of the woods. Trying to catch the drop as it came off the leaf was very chancy - I'd catch about one in ten, and this was the only drop that was letting go. Lucky shot!
I finally started my basket, and completed the base while watching the Super Bowl. I'm starting up the sides, then will have to figure out my colors. This will be a basic bowl shape, with colors and design on the sides to represent earth, water and air, which is the theme for our Guild retreat gallery show. I think this is the first time I've woven a basket specifically for the show, using the theme. Before, I've always used baskets I had already woven. I want to start doing a lot more weaving - it sure feels good to feel my fingers fly!
