First snow of the season!! It's always pretty the first time, isn't it? The slightly confusing view above is of the old apple tree - no leaves left, but some apples still clinging to the branches. The lens is zoomed up close, so the large horizontal snowflakes look like big white blobs coming down fast and furious.
This was shot through the window - if you look closely at the center, you can see the camera and my hand reflected in the glass. I wanted to get a feel for how the snow was flying. And if you look through the railing at lower right, you can even see the apple tree featured in the top photo.
