Well, this is it - after all those "signs of fall", the birch leaves have suddenly begun to turn. Rather clumpy right now - just a branch here and there turned yellow, others still green. Lots of rain this morning, too, but the afternoon shaped up nicely, clearing and even a bit of sun.
Cody called this morning, and is already at his new home in Carlsbad, near San Diego. He ended up riding his bike straight through from Portland! Ah, the strength and resiliency of youth!
