Rain early, but a little bit of sun by evening. Tiny leaves are beginning to unfurl and glow in the late afternoon sunshine.
This is right at the edge of the swamp, the transition zone where the cedar and salal end, and the willow and wetland shrubs begin.

Among the first spring blooms are the red currants.

And, the ever-present Buzz with his ever-present stick, doing his favorite thing, swimming. He knows what's going to happen when he sees me pick up my shoes, and he starts racing around barking and whining to 'go for a walk'. It's almost better than 'go for a ride', although that is surely a close second. He loves anything with 'go'!
